Our PE provision reflects the school’s commitment to providing a safe, welcoming and motivating environment where students can rebuild confidence, experience success and develop a positive relationship with physical activity. Lessons are inclusive, carefully adapted and appropriately challenging to meet individual needs, recognising that many students have experienced disrupted education or lack confidence in their abilities. Through PE, students are encouraged to develop resilience, teamwork, self-regulation and self-belief while engaging in enjoyable and meaningful physical activity.
Our PE curriculum includes a broad range of onsite activities such as athletics, dodgeball, football, basketball, frisbee and more, alongside core PE skills including balance, coordination and teamwork. We also provide valuable offsite enrichment opportunities, including visits to a gymnastics centre, climbing centre (with opportunities to gain awards), snooker club, skatepark, ice skating, bowling, fitness gym and air rifle activities. These experiences help to broaden horizons, build independence and reinforce our school values of Respect, Empower and Achieve, supporting students to succeed beyond previous expectations and prepare positively for life beyond Jubilee School.
